let's say modified behaviours without touching the core, just install modules in a folder, cmake and compile, and core keeps clean

advanced or complex modules install SQL, or some core modifications needed etc, most of them need sql imports (for own usage or adding npcs, etc)

yup that's why you need a TBC core imo, import dbc, maps and so from 2.0.1 client, and disable all tbc content in disables table

Restoring vanilla talents in the 3.3.5 client would mean **a lot** of spell changes, changing the trees themselves would be a breeze in comparison.
