I dont think you need sudo
`mysql -u username (acore is default) -p password (acore is default) -h ip (127.0.01 should do the job if is in the same machine) acore_auth`

Oh okay so then since I wanna open it up to only my local network i put the ip address of the servers ip into the ip section and then what just press enter?

If you can't access it. In your machine where the server is, due the command above. And it should login.
Than i dont know if you can run this query

And should show you what IPs are associated to that username (which usually localhost)
