going the hamachi method, might be better, not sure how often the IP that is assigned to changes though. its its fairly static-ish this might be
a solution to the moving alot scenario, you will just have to try it out.

yep, it is a solution when u got internet cuz i want to prepare the rasp also in case i dont have internet so the rasp creates a hotspot when there is not known wifi and i will create and script to start the server at startup

thats why i also need to assign the local ip and i thouhgt the best solution would be combining 0.0.0.0 with hamachi

(i use a gpd win 2 or steam deck to play sometimes so with a batery bank i can have my wow server even when im traveling in a plane train or whatever)

only problem is hamachi needs internet does it not? for joining clients and assigning IP's?
If your going the hamachi route then the 0.0.0.0 will likely need to be the hamachi IP that is assigned to the pi, it might work with 0.0.0.0
then it might not, its something you'll likely have to test out.
