any of the spell.dbc files i edit, none of them successfully swap spells still. I know if model swaps work this way, spells should. I will post if i can ever get it to work again and what MPQ i used.

I extract a mpq file I have with mpqextractor, in a directory called "patch-Z.MPQ" (so the raw files are in that folder, no actual MPQ files) - but nothing shows up.
