I never finished this road yet, but its still a good example.

I usually make a big dirt pathway usually on 1 pressure, and then do the road on 1 pressure, spray, 2/3rds of whatever radius your dirt path was, then you can blend the 1 pressure dirt on the sides with whatever grass texture is in the zone you're using

Yeah I don't try make roads that are super straight. Looks too odd compared to what you'd find in the world.
