Cache just stores data so it doesn't need to download it from the server again. If you modify the item, the cache might contain stale data in the client and will not automatically download it again

i was trying to change damage to a staff and it didnt work so i wasnt sure if i did it right

mostly delete cache when you add/modify a display from an item or a creature

Or have the server increment the cache version each restart so you never need to clear caches manually client side again little bit more advanced though
