it's not GM mode, all other creatures work correctly
I tested it with 2 different characters, same issue for both

Nah, shouldn't need to touch DBC for a regular NPC unless you're adding a custom model. Creatures are mostly handled server side, other than some scripts.

Yeah, sadly don't use AC so just inspecting the SQL is annoying. Try remaking the NPC and copy/edit a existing creature as a base, such as 1052. See if it works then apply all your changes to the new. Just to see if it works. All I can think of.
