Sorry, I don't have any solid advice for how to find the attachment ID for the position you're looking for, all I can say is that the ID references the data in the M2 file.

Why was 14 used over 39 for Mammoth.m2? ‍♀️ You'd have to ask Blizzard.

I was using the mammoth to reverse engineer another vehicle on making. On that vehicle I have this for attatchments starting at 39 (highlighted in green.) The problem I have right now is that no matter what I do they don't seem to actually be moving to the attachment points and instead float staticly instead of with the vehicle.

From what I can tell each one is connected to the rootbone of the m2 and yet in game the vehicle causes passengers to look like this on slopes:

I wanted to see if I could understand how attachments worked better by looking at the mammoth model, but now Im just further confused as I have no idea why they used 14 on mammoth and it works there. But wont work on this custom vehicle I'm making.

<@562711947548819458> I have no idea if you have any insight into that, Alastor told me something about the bones but all my research into it led no where. Thank you for your time regardless in trying to help I've spent the past 3 days desperately looking for any information on vehicles

Are the Mammoth.m2 attachments also tied to the root bone? Rotation like with slopes could happen for a different bone which could be why the transformation isn't transferred over to your attachment but is for the Mammoth.m2?
