One thing to note, which I guess is a little obvious in hindsight, is that NPCs cannot use abilities that use resources they do not have. So if you want to give a creature an ability that requires Rage, then you may need to recreate that ability.
Another thing that was a little surprising to me was that *everything* is a spell. Crafting? That's a spell. Learning a Profession? That's a spell. Talents? Those are spells.

Which might make this even easier or less complicated than one might think.

And one small warning: Once you start, and you get your first set of changes in, and you have a grin from ear-to-ear, your humble, meager ambitions grow instantly and you start thinking of new things to add.
All I wanted to do was redesign the Hunter into a Melee, Range, Mid-Range (using Thrown Weapons) class, adding some new abilities and modifying some others. Since then, I've redesigned the Valley of Trials and Sen'jin Village, repalced the Burning Blade questline with a new Whiskersnoot Kobolds questline, added 60+ NPCs and 50+ Quests, added a new Class Profession to the Hunter, and a lot of other misc stuff.
