I think I saw some way to access the customobject class which contains everything and access data by casting. But it might just not be possible anymore on blender 4.x then ?

yeah, if you can access the underlying pointer (the python api probably still exposes them) and that data contains the necessary pointers to the other data you need it's possible

what gets tricky is if those functions begin talking to internal blender systems or storage without any direct way of accessing them through the struct itself

skarn didn't seem to think so, but I kind of migrated away from relying too much on the raw side of things in blender
