I've tried about 10 vehicle IDs now, but so far no success.
maybe someone has an idea how Blizzard did it?

Few dbcs to edit and acore has 3 or 4 tables to tweak plus a new spell for the mount

That's what I tried. I gave the mount the VehicleID 312/313, first of all these are the IDs that mammoths have for the Horde and Alliance versions and then I tried to bind the two created NPCs to the mount using the template.
NPS have no spell auras
