there are tools for both, however the DBC->SQL i believe is a bit more robust

it's what i would of used. i know WDBX also has 1, but stone likes to rave on his so i'd start there

So you import once using the spell editor, do changes in sql, then you can run the exporter through a script or pipeline etc without having to use the spell editor
