[Archive] [MaNGOS/ArcEmu] Maze Creator tool
Quote: Hello Mmowners, I've not made this application, but i think, it's useful enough to post it here.. Quoting an original thread from emupedia ( [RELEASE] - Maze Creator; written in C# - Emupedia )
Hi, it seems this is gonna be my first post here
Well, lets make it simple -
let me introduce you little tool i have written (well, its a bit more complicated, i have actually only rewritten into c# from php, its a bit faster now). Anyway, the idea and 1st working version was made by Bbtrash at wowresource.eu, you can see his work here - http://wow.zdechov.net/maze/ (warning - in czech language). Anyway, i have improved it a bit (ther should be support for both mangos and arcemu sql output, arcemu is untested, tho).
Video: YouTube
Download link (final) - Filebeam - Free Fast File Hosting
+ gui reworked, arcemu SHOULD be supported
And what is it all about? Well, as the title says, this tools gonna help you create fun events on your servers, simply design maze (use left mouse to add boxes and right one to remove them), export it into sql, execute into database and your pretty own maze is complete. Now all you have to do is type .tele mazecreator and prepare the event
Oh, when you start it, dont be scared by the czech language, you can set it to english in menu on the right side.
+note: maze size shouldnt be bigger than 55 x 55 boxes (because of area size).
+ You can share your mazes with others (check export/import tab)
+ you are gonna need .NET Framework
All gredits goes to Axxxa (for application itself) and bbtrash (for original idea) of wowresource.eu

Quote:UPDATED 31.1.09 - newest avaiable version
As it went kinda messy, newest avaiable version is this http://filebeam.com/a46475070c71bbdc5ff23e3a1bf2dc24
If you are interested in source code, you will fint it there Filebeam - Free Fast File Hosting
=Old post ============
Id like to point out that i have made new version. It now supports up to 100 floors, it should be faster. Only problem is that because of floors, i have rewriteen relatively big part of program, and its mostly untested. Also added possibility to copy all stairs from one floor into another.
Download: http://filebeam.com/a46475070c71bbdc5ff23e3a1bf2dc24 - fixed
(anyone else find reputation rules on these forums kinda idiotic?)

Quote: Just so you know - Enhanced Version seems to be kinda buggy on windows xp, its working fine on windows vista, tho, and i honesly have no idea why is it so. Anyway; i have fixed the biggest bug that occoured when you tried to open/save anything - you were than totaly unable to do anything (or more likely, the canges in maze werent visible). Now, the only bug i found is that when you import/export anything, you simply cant change size of map, its not that bad, as you can set the size before you start and than it works ok. On windows vista, as i said, its running great.
Anyway, if you could try out another "fixed" version and report any bugs you find, it would be great. And if youd have idea why is that bug in windows xp, it would be even better
So, there it is: hxxp://filebeam.com/5beb5d302ca1385ea92d12a7435f4f80
edit: (the source of problems is the openFileDialog and saveFileDialog, i wasnt able to find anything about that problem on net, so if you know whats causing it, please, share)
edit2: now the poster above: be sure to check preview video - hxxp://cz.youtube.com/watch?v=i6VKhuEXg-o , now; imagine basicaly the same thing, but on multiple height levels, with stairs and stuff, and you should have an idea about whats my tool for
