A common mistake for people getting in to modding is taking on a complicated task without knowing some basic steps, such as trying to port full maps, and models, without knowing how to create a custom display, or even run a template in 010 to check what's going wrong.

Find you're way around the client a bit more, mess around with different dbc's, etc. You've got a very detailed wiki at your disposal, and google translate for the stuff you don't understand.
