its like that minecraft movie post from like a decade ago that said "just around the corner" and then when you clicked the link it said "of a very large block"

Obviously we have a long way to go, but there’s already some work done on world rendering and I have almost all message handlers fully reversed and down to cleaned up source code.

so adding transparency support to char textures would be possible (talking about "skin" textures, not hair/skin_extra)
