Well your spell likely is setup so the client doesn't think it's a ranged weapon spell

Yes, at the moment the ranged flag is disabled to allow dead-zone shooting. But we had no-ammo prior to that.

No ammo requirement is one of the first things we did for Hour of Twilight back in 2020. There's nothing fancy needed

Well of course there are ways to make it happen, but it doesn't work dynamically by just adding the aura your mentioned
