Usually we just use a playcinematic and the id in the dbc to play it source wise or sai wise

No 100% certain of if custom cinematics can be ran, but really i dont see why it wouldn't if the new video is implemented propperly

In 3.3.5, it's as simple as swapping a heading in the file to switch it to a custom codec (which is just a renamed existing codec). The main issue is it only allows 2 very small resolutions, which look terrible in 1080p let alone higher
