There was a 335 attempt at a full decompile but its still wip and not functional. But what happens is some people reverse engineer certain aspects in identifying what the client will both send and recognize on recieving in terms of packets and op codes and then script it out which lead to the "emulator" being developed for the specific expansion

There is also skyfire but no reversing is happening on there since its MOP specific and all they need is already been reversed some time ago
