realisticaly what was that anti hacker update ? some more warden security checks when starting the executable that check if cheatengine or something is running ? I wonder why that isn't the standard client if it's safer

CN stayed on 1.12 for much longer than the rest of the world, so those changes could have been rolled into TBC for the rest

ah doesn't seem like an anticheat actually, just blizzard run some antivirus scan to check if the user has been hacked and has some keylogger running or something, to avoid account hacks
