This project was started months ago, originally created to be used on WoWscape/Scape Gaming's IRC network. At that time, it wasn't very useful, and only had a few basic commands. After figuring out how to check server status, I removed scape-specific stuff from the bot, and rewrote them as more general classes.
Current features:
- Customizable, automatic server status checks (must be set up in the source)
- Server status reporting (online/offline, uptime/downtime)
- A few customizable basic commands
- A customizable chat filter that can be changed without recompiling (reads bad words from a text file)
- Random kick reason system (reasons read from text file)
- A chat filter that uses SQL to store users kicked from channels. Bans after 5 kicks. (WIP, not enabled by default)
Classes:
AscentStats - A class that can be used to grab info from Ascent xml stats dumps
ServerStatus - A class that can be used to check the status of any server (not only WoW)
RealmStatus - A class used for automatically checking the status of a realm.
- Notices all users in an IRC channel when a server goes online/offline, as well as uptime/downtime.
