lua_pushnumber wants an 8 byte value (double) as 2nd input param.
but i think since the GUID is alphanumerical, you will have problems just casting it around to a double etc (at least the data won't make that much sense when you look at it).

what exactly do you want to achieve, which you can't use UnitGUID for?

It would be huge for server emulation if the functions frm future expansions could be retroported to 1.12.1

i don't have a repo for that version unfortunately.
i think the easiest route would be to write code for the functions you miss,
and then register them all at once by hooking the something where the already existing ones get registered.
so you have the ootb ones + your custom ones.
it's not a simple copy paste though i can assure you ^^
