even my like 10+ years old private branch of MaNGOS had scripts to start the server, update it and restart it when it crashes if need be

I fixed two *major* bugs on Nostalrius that affected MaNGOS back then for like forever and it would crash the client

reverse engineering was less popular back then and most of the handlers hadn't been properly reversed (still is the case today btw) and some transport related handlers were sending int values where the client expected a char or something like that
