so my question is: is it possible to do the terrain culling only, if the terrain which occludes those objects is actually rendered... in this picture you see that because i am at the backside, the terrain is transparent/not rendered

at the moment terrain which does not get rendered because of being looked at from the backside, does terrain culling too

i would assume that there is a function which determines if a triangle is looked at from the backside

this way i would still see the world from out of bounds locations, but get the performance gains of culling stuff that is overdrawn anyway
