depends on scale. most projects are like 20-30s unless you're quite deep, ex. epoch's was like 2 min for a full build at 1 point

it is true that filereading is basically instant, but still SQL query is pretty fast as well, 30-40ms for one of the biggest table (WMOAreaTable)

based on that I'd be surprised if all dbcs from SQL takes more than 2sec total, and not even async
