but it's not that complicated to support multiversioning, just versioned readers/exporters, multiple definitions, limit some features based on active expension..

I'm 3.3.5 first and foremost personally, but I think expending is a good thing instead of fragmenting community, but while trying to remain reasonable and not slow down core development and features

there's actually as many people in the "retail" noggit discord than noggit red and green <:kekw:1301383133899522078>

I mean my first goal is a proper DBC editor.
I seen none yet.
Like a proper DBC editor, not just another table like I shown there.
But something where you open 1 window to edit a bunch of DBCs without even knowing your editing a bunch of DBCs.

stoneharry's, and noggit for a few dbcs.
Also I disagree with having a standalone dbc editor as a good tool rather than appropriately accessible editors in a larger tool based on context.

for example you might wanna edit the area/map/graveyard/area triggers dbcs while working on a map, they are much better in the context of a map editor menu or world selection than opening a tool and searching for a table

a table editor, even polished with proper selection menus etc is still kinda useless

Yeah, but there is a lot of things in DBCs not map related.
But for example flightpoints are really tedious to do right now.
Would be nice to have a map viewer and edit them on the fly, having a preview of it, being able to play it forward and backwards to see how it moves.
Noggit would be perfect for that, absolutely. But I am faster building my own map renderer and building that feature in a different program, then to fight around with C++ sadly

I had a WIP flightpoints editor

gotta finish/remake it, my C++ skills were not the best back then
