I know technically we have a lot of control over how ground effect can be placed and what type to use, but honestly just being able to do it for an adt is super helpful.

Yeah, i've sometimes used sigmur's tool if i wanted to remove them from under a house ground, or specific things like that, but... that's secondary and can be an upgrade in the future, not really needed
