i think an important step, if you want to build a library, is to ensure this also works on linux, and maybe look at how expensive the interop is compared to a normal virtual call (this can often be a big problem, even with a good jit)

I don't expect there to be any issues other than the usual problems with c++ compilers requiring different flags
