Downported objects can easily be downported wrong and not include stuff like areaportals etc though

Merging WMOs is one optimization on WotLK, for example I took Dalaran, cut out the prison and added an entire new district to the city, merging the WMOs improved it a bit, and removing collision on roofs or unreachable locations did the trick.

Merging is not an option here since WMOs are small

Mhh, that makes a wmo render faster, but it's not the kind of thing I can easily do on Legion
