that "sprint for you own stuff" or "every second friday you choose your task" feels so odd. if it really is "anything", then that's what fucking weekends and vacation is for and just give me more of those please thanks. if it is "stuff on your project, but not with the highest priority" then.. that's what you should be able to do every day. if you have a bad day and don't want to break production, slack off with some low prio tickets. the idea that every so often there is that one specific day where you're expected to be less productive is not how humans work.

There are many people at least around here with kids who want to learn new technologies or do some tech browsing, but don’t have the time at home to do so, they really like a day during the normal work where they can do that
