Your in the creature folder not the DBFilesClient folder.
Mpqs are a virtual file system. They have a load order, where the same file can exist in multiple mpqs but only the last one is loaded.
All the mpqs are opened and merged by the game.
If you compiled the emulator, the map extractor pulls all the dbc files for you

thanks alot fam just figured it out after alot of digging. Do you know if its possible to batch convert models? Wowexports is working fine atm just slow lol

There's are some Ida DBs out there with a couple of things named (i think only for Wotlk, not for vanilla) but besides that.. not that i know
