Like regarding this WMO thing you want and I'm not sure what you are trying to do exactly, what you want the data for, but seems as you mentioned noggit, log.txt will tell you about missing M2s and WMOs.

Missing models shouldn't cause a crash though so I wouldn't put it down to that.
