Is grep gaining popularity for Windows users or? Is cygwin still required? I seem to just do such operations from a GNU/Linux system, store files and projects, and what I'm working on, on file server, and have a Windows 10 VM only for the purpose of the modding tools I can not get to run on Linux, or in wine. So I'm kinda jumping to and from a Windows guest and GNU/Linux host. I mean just typing a command like that is a lot more productive and faster and easier for me than whipping up a text editor, opening a file, and then doing a search.

Not all the way, mostly yes, it's native, very native and fluent, I use it for graphics design, music production, majority of things, I only use Windows for WoW modding tools that will not run in Linux or wine.

VM = Virtual Machine, Guest = Virtual machine that's a guest on a host machine, I basically will only ever run Windows inside a VM. Anyway, thanks for your help, going to look into these cdnconfig stuff.

I can't think of anything else that called for me to have a copy of Windows, it's a rare situation.

basically for the .build.info just follow the previously posted template but replace build key with buildconfig hash and cdn key with cdnconfig hash and the build at the end with the right build
