I'm sorta regretting not playing remix, sounds kinda fun but I also want to really play MoP classic without watering it down at all, as it's the first expac I have serious nostalgia for. I didn't really get to do all of that much in Cata so I don't remember it super well, but MoP...

i vote to not play remix, after week 1 you had the abusers who just rule it and then everyoen else who does 1/100th of their damage

Yeah, it's definitely one of those things you have to be there from the start on, catching up sounds miserable.

they recently added a catch up mechanic, but it isn't really solving the root problem

Nah, I don't agree, you can swap classes between tiers with no real issues, and mid tier it takes maybe 2 weeks with ~8 hours a week/played.
