cataclysm reused a lot of unused vanilla entries with very low ids like 456, some get baited by those and think it's og vanilla content

I'd say also one of the mayjor reasons the open source part of things is dwindling is that most servers have different needs and alter said core to their needs making it not suitable for "generic core" things. There is a extreme lack of interest in making and playing a normal 1.12, 2.x, 3.x servers
