Repacks 100% serve a purpose and I will defend them. Compiling yourself is relatively straight forward, but it's time consuming and requires a ton of drive space + dependencies on your computer. A lot of people just want to quickly test some content and don't want to setup that or need to have it in the first place.

Oh for sure. I send out repacks to folks who want to make spells with spell editor only and don't know the rest.
