Yes it’s theoretically possible and they’d have to. But they’ve chosen not to and just accepted it’s cursed by AGPL.

The end result isn't quite the same, at least people would see an attempt being made to remedy the situation if they tried to get consent for relicensing

i would like to add something to think about...if they already did it once (invalid license change) why not do it again ? especially when this time it would fix that original issue
