but my question above was specifically just about the wow properties object data menu and if its possible to do something there to flag a mesh to have an animated texture

idk the only person I know who uses m2mod is <@239448375152345089> pretty much everyone else uses WBS and mods 3.3.5 or 1.12

but animated textures would require custom animations/transforms I assume, unlike WBS m2mod can't add custom animation data

i see, at the moment the closest thing that kinda sorta works is hijacking the mesh name of the DH eye glow effect and replacing its mesh and texture, but then it only loads on dh <
