there are some cases but there are mostly checks for specific hex values, only a couple of masks are defined as enums

no idea but some are probably needed in cases when you have smth like `[x spell] reduces the cooldown of [y spell] by z seconds` since in stock core you don't have spell effect for that

well anything that is dynamic like my aura dealing dmg based on distance from some place or things like `target->CombatStop();` which i assume dbc doesnt have case for

probably but you could code them once in core as spell effects/auras and be done instead of writing scripts for them all the time

the client won't know what they do, so you can't reflect what those things do in tooltips etc
