most of it looks to be whenever assigning it to the buffID, so while the client might store it, whenever a getAura or some similar type of call gets done, probably there ♂️

To be fair as Harry said, auras can be quite expensive depending on your goal

So really if you need more than 255 clientside auras (For w/e purposes that may be, but probably stat calculation or visual feedback) then there is a lot going on at once

i was mostly worried about it being 128 bcs like lets say on more complicated boss u could have 10 debuffs from that boss then u have 40 or possibly more from talents then 30-40 for raid buffs and active trinket and other procs suddenly u are reaching 100 and there is not much room left
