vmangos actually has some better tools, like its own scripts editor, and a special creature spells list system with its editor that is much better to mod

other than that, it's usually not really more complicated than 3.3.5 there's some converters for most things

if tools was the only issue 1.12 would 100% be worth it, the main issue with 1.12 is the crappy client
