``` // m_modifier.m_miscvalue is bitmask of spell schools
// 1 ( 0-bit ) - normal school damage (SPELL_SCHOOL_MASK_NORMAL)
// 126 - full bitmask all magic damages (SPELL_SCHOOL_MASK_MAGIC) including wand
// 127 - full bitmask any damages```
All the emulators handle effect 79 miscvalue as spell school mask only
It only has that one effect, so the only thing I can think of is a) it was broken because Blizz had the wrong value in the wrong field (put it in miscvalue instead of EquippedItemSubclass) or b) it worked because you have whatever bits set in that 44083 value unintentionally
