The chests you walk into? Yes but they are scripted / area triggers afaik

Also I did just recall 1 instance of gameobject being able to cast spells. There's a type and spell you can set. But I'm pretty sure it just causes the player to cast it on interaction

You can use gameobject 10, and have a spell attached to it . It works for me for a create item spell
