Im finding that I can export it as a fbx file and then find a softwater to confert fbx to mdx? Is that the plan?

I guess for dbc's its the same .mdx or .m2. You can just insert your .m2's name into that dbc and edit its postfix to .mdx and it would work

They're the same. Internally `.mdx` gets converted to `.m2` naming wise. Just a hold over from early vanilla days.
