regular command line blpconverter is the best and most flexible, but is hard to learn

yet I save my blps with alpha channel in photoshop as pngs with superPNG plugin
so it's okay for me

Yeah, I think my problem is I'm using Photopea, and not Photoshop, so I don't have access to the BLP plugins that are available with PS.

I used TGA with Blpng converter, for the tutorials I made for tomkek's deathsaber model, and those have custom made transparency for the reflection etc. and work well,

Oh, I see that BLPNG Converter allows me to fiddle with settings. I see the value in being able to inspect the filetype, but BLPNG Converter doesn't seem to do that.
