Basically I'd do what <o> suggested, and make the serverside only auras, the ones that don't impact the client in any way

You can also have multiple hidden auras, shown as 1 aura on the client (By utilizing the tooltip), although I would start simple first, and then experiment if it is needed

You likely face other issues, imagine you log into your character and the server has to apply hundreds of auras

the implementation isn't great and it can have some issues if you do something ridiculous, but i've played with some pretty high aura counts in past without major issues. obviously low pop

but yes, auras are not magical, and the modifier system comes with a price that it actually has to be applied somewhere

if you want to make something serious with it you probably want to look at some kind of merging system espec. to get those modifiers down
