its bunch of scripts which will update server so it contains all data related to that update and when it runs it will create new records in tables etc export dbcs and create updated patch file

I remember there's a cvar you can modify on the classic client to use those models.

Yeah, I've just never seen it used. You're probably right though, I just learned about the CVar in Classic.
