Not necessarily, the main issue is that it's a generic AI and not specialized. ChatGPT as an example has a very good starting point already for being generic, the problem is you can't train it. If it could use corrections and make that part of its training material, then it could be superb for writing even some complex scripts.

As it is right now, you can still guide it to write pretty decent, functional scripts, but it takes a lot more work than it's worth compared to writing said script yourself
