I think we're well past the era of avoiding subscriptions, and I think many people would be happy to have a retail + custom server combined subscription for something like $15-20

It would eliminate the issue of monetization, because projects could then sell their own iterations of Blizzard assets, and make Blizzard money from them (they would definitely take a cut), while giving the legal and creative freedom to release content of their own

Just for information, I found spell aura 89 which do periodic damage based on percentage, so I solved with no script.
