I've been unable to modify textures that are to be displayed onto models successfully (3.3.5a). I'm trying to recolour a texture of an armoured horse and it loads into the game just fine. I've taken the BLP from the game's MPQ files and converted it to a PNG using "BLPNG converter". After editing the image to change the colours, I converted the image back to a BLP and had it load into the game. The texture itself looks fine when I'm super zoomed in, but when I get any distance between the camera and the texture, it simply becomes completely black and I see just the base model without any texture. I imagine this is due to how the PNG to BLP conversion goes, but I don't know how to properly make the PNG work as a BLP, even through the converter.

I believe your issue is due to mipmaps, which a bunch of converters in my experience don't do correctly

make sure you have both m2 and skins in your working directory, and skins are named correctly (example: box01.m2 should be called like box0100.skin)
