Stoneharry, I have a question. I know you have a custom class guide on github. How far would some be able to get creating a new class slot with it?

*Hey, I was writing up a question myself but thought to respond to yours first.* I hope it's okay though I know the question's directed to Stoneharry. His class guide is effective. Given enough time, you can create all the assets you wish to include on your new class. I can't recall the last update to the guide, but to my recollection, I believe the guide will teach you to create a "shell" of a class, meaning making a new class id playable but then it's up to you to use the tools out there to define what that class is by creating it's features

**I have a question too, about the character creation's race icon order.** In ChrRaces.dbc, column 3 is the faction template id. Apparently, the order of the character creation's race icons depends on this but I'm not sure how exactly. I had my race icons already in order but when I added more races/race ids, the order scrambled.
My question is: How can I maintain my previous order of race icons while still adding more races? The faction template id I entered in ChrRaces.dbc for the new added races are larger than the ids used prior for the other races. Therefore, I thought they would simply get added to the end of the race icons' order but instead, again, the order scrambled and in effect, the "number" each race identifies with changed too (for example: CharCreateRaceButton1 used to be Orc, now it's Undead). This is problematic for me beyond the actual order of the icons because it's causing a major mis-match for any race I made specific code for in lua GlueXML.
Are the order of race icons defined somewhere else? Perhaps another column in FactionTemplate.dbc or Faction.dbc? And how do you use these columns to actually display the order intended?
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

What I'm trueley after is just a class shell yes with its own class mask for talent reasons ofc and working basegame talent interface for said class. the DBC/SQL stuff I do know. Just wanted to know if the guide would be enough for the class shell. And if u say it is then nice. And ty for the awnser

No problem! I believe it should be enough for what you're looking for. Best of luck!

There are definitely more things required that the guide doesn't cover, like making LFG work for your class, proper gt dbc setup etc. But that's stuff that is relatively poorly documented anywhere anyway, and kind of a challenge to figure out yourself

But yeah, the guide gets you to a point where you can start chipping away at the actual challenges

That's true. Any chance you know a bit about the race icons order in character creation?
